Library Experience: I received a Master's Degree in Library Science and Information Management from Emporia State University in 1993 - their Colorado extension class. I had a very successful career as a professional librarian, and as an automation specialist for libraries for about 15 years. I gained lots of experience training/teaching in libraries, and studied about learning styles and preferences of different types of students. My library journey included a multitude of reference librarian experience, with Denver Public Library in their Magazine Center, Interlibrary Loan, and Genealogy and Western History Departments. I worked at CARL Corporation as an Application Specialist. At Denver Public Schools, successfully migrating their library automation system from CARL to Innovative. And, my latest position was with the State Library as a Project Manager/Coordinator for a statewide Interlibrary Loan software project called SWIFT. I stopped working for libraries in September 2003 to pursue my music full-time. If you would like to read more about my library career, please see my "other" resume.
